中国石化新闻网讯 据《能源年》12月19日开罗报道，埃及石油部长Tarek El Molla周二宣布，政府已确认在埃及近海Nargis区块开发大量天然气的计划。
根据中东经济调查局（Middle East Economic Survey）的数据显示，运营商雪佛龙于10月使用Stena Forth钻井船在Nargis-1井发现了991亿立方米（约3.5万亿立方英尺）的天然气。
官员们尚未确认这一发现的确切规模。
该钻井船仍在Nargis区块继续工作，该区块距离西奈半岛60公里，距离现有天然气基础设施80公里，距离休眠的加沙海洋发现区70公里。
雪佛龙在Nargis区块持有45%的股份，合作伙伴埃尼集团(Eni)持有45%的股份，当地能源公司塔尔瓦石油公司(tarwa Petroleum Company)持有剩余10%的股份。
