Malaysia Wants to Continue Oil-Production Cut
Malaysia will offer to continue the reduction of state-oil firm Petronas' production by 20,000 barrels/day at this week's OPEC meeting, says economic minister Azmin Ali. He will attend the gathering, at which a resumption of prior output caps is anticipated. Malaysia, a net oil exporter, is not a member of OPEC but has been playing a supportive role in the cartel's efforts to stabilizes prices.
