Total Petrochemicals & Refining USA reported a fire that led to a unit shutdown over the weekend at its refinery in Port Arthur, Texas.
"An unanticipated fire at Unit 836 resulted in a unit upset," the refinery said in a statement to the Texas Commission The problems also led to above-normal emissions of sulfur dioxide that began Sunday morning and lasted about three hours, it said.
The 225,000-barrel-a-day refinery is located 95 miles east of Houston.
