中国石化新闻网讯 据OE网站11月8日报道，希腊周一表示，埃克森美孚公司将在未来几天开始在希腊伯罗奔尼撒半岛和克里特岛西南部的两个区块进行地震勘查。
作为地中海东部天然气入口，鉴于其地理位置和相关基础设施的投资，希腊渴望成为天然气生产国和向欧洲其他地区储存和输送天然气的枢纽。
这些地震勘查将由埃克森美孚公司在未来几天开始。
今年7月，在道达尔能源退出克里特岛附近的两份油气勘探合同后，埃克森美孚和希腊最大的炼油商HelleniQ能源公司同意接管道达尔能源的原有份额。
埃克森美孚作为运营商，持有克里特岛近海70%的油气勘探权。HelleniQ能源公司持有其余部分。

It said in April the country plans to speed up exploration for gas reserves to replace Russian gas with indigenous resources. The country aims to have a clear idea by 2023 on whether it has gas reserves it could tap.
