据美国钻井网站2021年6月1日报道，加拿大森科尔能源公司日前对媒体透露了一个更新后的战略，重点是增加股东们的回报和加速减少温室气体(GHG)排放的进展，目标是到2050年前实现净零排放。
森科尔能源公司表示，这一战略的基础是其卓越运营和资本纪律的原则。森科尔能源公司指出，到2025年，该公司将把计划的41.4亿美元(50亿加元)的年资本支出重点放在优化整合的价值链和维持基础业务上，同时提高其成本和碳竞争力，并发展低碳业务。预计到2025年前，每年将增加16亿美元(20亿加元)的自由资金流入低碳业务。
