Offshore Rig Contracts Go to Saipem
Saipem has won a pair of offshore drilling contracts in Norway and the Middle East totalling more than US$ 100 million, the company reported Monday.
One of the contracts is with Repsol Norge AS and calls for drilling a well for operations in Norway set to begin during the third quarter of this year, Saipem noted in a written statement emailed to Rigzone. Saipem added that its semisubmersible Scarabeo 8 drilling unit will be deployed for the contract.
