Brazilian state-led oil company Petrobras will boost investment spending 13% to $84.1 billion over the next five years, with more than 80% of the cash targeting development of oil fields in the prolific subsalt frontier that will push domestic crude oil output to nearly 2.8 million b/d by 2023, the company said Wednesday.
"The plan prioritizes deep water," Nelson Silva, Petrobras' executive director for strategy, said during a conference call with analysts and investors.
