Pioneer Sells Pressure Pumping Assets to Midland Company
Dallas-based Pioneer Natural Resources Company is selling its pressure pumping assets to ProPetro Holding Corp. in a cash and stock deal worth $400 million.
In the deal, which was announced Nov. 13, Pioneer will divest its pressure pumping assets to Midland, TX-based ProPetro for $110 million in cash and 16.6 million shares of PUMP common stock (representing 17 percent ownership in ProPetro).
The assets include eight fleets with 510,000 hydraulic horsepower (HHP) and related facilities. After the transaction closes, ProPetro will have 28 fleets with 1,415,000 HHP operating in the Permian Basin.
The transaction is expected to close before the end of the year.
