据亚洲润滑油周报11月9日消息，弗诺斯特沙利文（Frost & Sullivan）咨询公司一位高管表示，即便电动汽车正在变得越来越普及，但是全球汽车润滑油需求应该能够继续保持增长。那是因为，尽管电动汽车销售量正在快速增长，但是全球汽车保有量仍将由内燃机汽车主导。
弗诺斯特沙利文在最新报告中指出，如果全球电动汽车——包括插电式混合动力汽车和纯电动汽车的销售量上升至占所有乘用车销售量的20%，那么全球汽车发动机油需求将从2018年的1550万吨增长到2040年时的2200万吨。

Forecast Sees Growth for Auto Lubes
Global demand for automotive lubricants should continue to rise even as electric vehicles become more popular, an official from consultancy Frost & Sullivan said recently. That’s because the global vehicle parc will still be dominated by internal combustion engines despite quickly increasing sales of EVs.
In a new study, Frost & Sullivan concludes that total automotive engine oil demand will grow from 15.5 million metric tons in 2018 to 22 million tons in 2040 if global sales of EVs – including plug-in hybrids and vehicles powered purely by batteries – rise to 20 percent of all passenger car sales.
