ConocoPhillips Profit Rises Along With Oil Prices
ConocoPhillips (COP) reported a profit of $1.86 billion in the third quarter, or $1.59 cents a share, compared with $420 million, or 34 cents a share, a year ago.
The company said its adjusted earnings for the period were $1.36 a share.
The company said earnings rose in the quarter because of "higher realized prices across all commodities," higher sales volumes and an arbitration settlement.
ConocoPhillips said it expects to produce 1.275 million to 1.315 million barrels of oil equivalent per day in the fourth quarter.
