Woodside Petroleum 1H Profit Rises
Woodside Petroleum Ltd. (WPL.AU) logged a 5.9% rise in half-year profit after it lifted liquefied natural gas output and benefited from increased energy prices.
Woodside, Australia's largest independent oil and gas producer, said its net profit increased to US$541 million in the first six months of the year from US$511 million a year earlier, on the back of a 27% lift in sales revenue from its operations to US$2.25 billion.
